Dear Cadie

Yesterday you turned 11 months old. You have changed so much since your days as a “burrito,” as your papa would say – all wrapped up in your swaddling blanket and barely opening your eyes. You are a little person now, crawling everywhere and getting into everything.

bye bye

Cadie absolutely says “bye bye” now. She’s so amazingly brilliant.

change

I resigned from my job. It was a good two years. Last day is October 1 – seemed right to give plenty of notice under the circumstances. The circumstances are complicated. That’s not true. They are very simple. I don’t want to talk about it. Please send all librarian jobs my way, and all web [...]

new skills

As previously mentioned, Cadie stands now.
She also says Mama, Dada, and we think she says ball. She waves, and she’ll point to your nose if you ask her to.

Dear Cadie

ou’re 10 months old!

and… I’ve got nothing

Mustn’t forget…

Cadie shared with me the other day! She was playing with Red Sphere (yes, we call her toys by “name”) and when I held out my hand and asked for it, she gave it to me. So cool!

She crawls!

Well, kind of. There’s at least forward motion! Cadie started rocking on all fours about a week ago, and today she managed to put it all together. This morning (while I was at work) she did three little “crawls” on hands and knees, and since then she’s been getting herself up on knees and elbows. [...]

mamamamama

Cadie’s been making the “papa” sound off and on for a few weeks now, and it was so adorable to hear our little girl say Papa, even though she has no idea that what she’s saying actually means something to us. And now, in the last week, she’s started saying “mama”. Again, it’s not a [...]
